By "weed" we are assuming you mean marijuana.

Since it is the hair follicle, not hair itself, that holds the THC there is no way "to get it out". Only answer is to stop smoking/consuming illegal drugs. (Not getting into right or wrong of it's legal status, as long as it is on the books as illegal marijuana use will be grounds for refusing employment or terminating employees.) The length of time it stays in follicles is not definite. Bodies metabolize chemicals differently, due to your body fat, diet, exercise level, and amount of use. Just for amusement I put a link for detoxing products on here. Just a word of warning: they do not work if you are currently using, not sure if they mention that in the disclaimer though they do wrongly say it is detectable in your follicle forever unless using their product.

If you used, they'll probably find it. Hair grows at 0.05 mm per 24 hr period, so you con do the math and see how far back they can go. The current generation of tests are really sensitive and will catch even minute trace amounts of the targeted substance. The "cleansing" treatments you buy at GNC etc... are targeted also, causing a closer look at your test if they are found. In short, nothing really works.

From what I know of a hair sample drug screening test for marijuana, it matters whether the sample is taken from taking a snip of hair at the end of it or whether it came from the hair follicle which is at the root in the scalp. I think the snip of hair at the bottom reveals drug use at a date much, much further back in time whereas the follicle sample is recent use and can be negative after 90 days. I'm not an expert though but have heard this from several knowledgable people who work in the medical field.

Not sure how far back the test goes, but there isn't any way I know of that you can cheat that kind of test. Cutting your hair doesn't work. They only need the root. They'll yank out a root from the stubble with tweezers if you shave your head.

They do not test for mushrooms, all prescriptions are OK as long as you have a doctors permission and the necessary documents. If you shave your head they will get a few pubic or armpit hairs. My company performs background checks on candidates, and on average, it seems to take about 2 weeks to complete. But it would take longer if there was an issue with the application, e.g. missing or erroneous info on education or work industry.

Personally I wouldn't worry yet, but I would definitely call the HR dept for a status update so you can find out if they're still working on it, or if the results are in. And I would start being concerned when the 3rd week rolls around.

1. Put vinegar in your hair for 10 minutes.

2. Massage in Clean %26amp; Clear facial toner (the pink one) and leave it in your hair for 5 minutes.

3. Wash your hair with tide laundry detergent (WITHOUT BLEACH) and rinse.

4. Your hair will be very very dry at this point, wash with some kind of Aloe shampoo...I used Suave as it's usually cheapest.

I did this before a drug test and passed... there are a lot of people on marijuana.com who've tried this and passed as well!

The half-life of THC in the system is very variable... it very much depends on how fit you are, how active your metabolism is, how much you ingested in the first place...

For a urine or blood test, a month is normally enough to be sure that THC has dropped to a negligible level...

Be aware, though, that THC is one of the substances that are stored in the hair follicles... and there have been reports that positive traces have been found up to three YEARS later...

Nope, they cut a small patch of hair right to the scalp. It will show when you did weed. When you smoke weed it shows up in the roots, which then grow out.

OK, Usually they will cut the hair as close to the scalp as possible (sometimes they take follicles). normally, they will test the bottom section (closest to the scalp) 3/4 of an inch which represents approx. the last 90 days... Most testing company's do a "quick test" (inexpensive) and look for positive. If it is questionable (low level) they pass. (It is more expensive to perform the spectrograph intensive test which cuts in to the testing facilities profit margin). If the quick test shows positive, you fail and they hold the balance of the sample in case of an appeal... Don't Do Drugs!

Hair gets drugs in it from the follicle where the hair is growing from, so it ends up in the hair shaft itself. Any and all cleaning products will only clean the outside surface of the hair shaft and will have no effect on the inside of the hair shaft thus having no effect on the drug test.
