Hair drug testing for a job?

i have to go for a drug screening at a clinic tomorow so i can get a job for ACME. they allready gave me a cup drug test to take there and pee in which is no problem for me. my mom told me that i had to take a hair test too but i think she was just scarring me into admitting to something that i diddnt do. I realy do think that she is lieing to me though for a number of reasons the most strong reason being that those tests cost $100 - $150 . Do you think that Ill get a hair drug test taken?

actually from what I understand hair show record of some time longer than peeing in a cup

Honestly, I don't think they'd go that far for a job unless you were ON the job, and caused an accident of some kind. I don't understand though, why they'd want you to take another test if the first one was okay.

It gives a more accurate test, there is less chance for a false positive, shows a history beyond 30 days, and can not be altered. (Like some of the products on the market to flush out your system to pass a drug test) The cost is not as expensive as what you think since it is becoming more commonly used and more frequent. It depends on the company and what tests they use.

It really depends on the severity of the job you are seeking, but yes they can take a hair sample and know the last time you did anything - most drug test are paid for by the company asking for them

I think you are correct in assuming that the company does not use hair sampling as a means to test for drugs, because of the cost. HOWEVER, they may have discovered, through experience, that urine tests can be tampered with or a person could take something to neutralize any substance in ones system. Google "drug test" and you will find a million sites that provide information, guidance and advice on how to achieve a negative (good) result from a urine test.

A hair sample, on the other hand, is 99% tamper resistant and will detect a variety of substances, currently or formerly, in ones system for up to six months.

By the way, the urine sample that you gave previously might have been for some other test - diabetes perhaps.

i dont think they would waste there time with a cup and then ask for a hair sample they are not there to play games they would have told you up front
