my husband had them done two weeks ago yesterday. and we have heard nothing yet? how long does it take to hear something????? HELP!

My company performs background checks on candidates, and on average, it seems to take about 2 weeks to complete. But it would take longer if there was an issue with the application, e.g. missing or erroneous info on education or work industry.

Personally I wouldn't worry yet, but I would definitely call the HR dept for a status update so you can find out if they're still working on it, or if the results are in. And I would start being concerned when the 3rd week rolls around.

if it takes longer than 3 days for the results of a drug test it is usually positive, however he would be contacted first to see if there is a reasonable explanation. Background check can take up to 4 weeks, maybe they are combining them
