Car dealer Interview tommorrow...drug hair test.?

I have a interview for car salesman at a dealer tommorrow. I've been told I will need to pass a drug hair test. I have smoked a couple of weeks ago but have bought a hair cleaner. Do you think that they will pull the hair tommorrow at the interview or schedule a different date? If anyone has had to pass a test that works for a car dealership your help would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows how long the hair has to be that would be a help too. My hair is short like shaved at a two. so half an inch at the most. thanks again. ("If you want to pass then don't do drugs") Yes I know. That answer is already out of the way so don't use it.

Hmmm, it sounds like you and my "friend" could be working for the same nationwide company. :) If it is, they won't do it at the interview (although I've heard that some companeis, like Casinos and Major grocery stores will now drug test you right on the spot.) If it's the same company or with most companies, your official letter will have some blurb about "the offer stands contingent upon a successful drug test". They will then mail/give you a packet with the instructions and drug free work place policy will explain what their rules are and it should tell you what they are testing for. Although your hair will tell your drug history for as long as your hair is.....the company is most likely going to take a 90 day sample Thats the bottom 3-4 cm, closest to the root. If your hair is too short, they will pull/shave hair from somewhere else (arm, armpits, or legs). They may even go where you don't want them to go!

The hair shampoo works great! Follow the directions to a T. When it's all done wash, wash, wash that stuff out you hair. Your hair will feel dry and yuky for a while, but your a guy, you can just cut it out. For girls, it's a little more damaging.

The worse part is that looooong week, waiting for the results. No news is good news. The lab will know your results within 24 hours of recieving it. If it is positive they will contact your employer immediately. I've heard in some cases/state the lab will/has to contact you first and give you a heads up, although I can't confirm that.

I don't know the exact link for all of this info, but trust me, when my "friend" found out she had to take a hair test, she spent about 5 sleepless nights doing the research.

you should be fine if it was a couple (more than one) week ago and they will probably schedule for another day anyways, and I don't think it matters about the hair thing even though I worked at a staffing company and never heard of doing that...good luck

The part of the hair that retains traces of drugs is in the central, "living" portion of the hair, so, washing the hair does absolutely no good at helping you pass the test. Those traces last several months in the hair follicle, so, even cutting the hair will not help.

The follicle actually begins INSIDE the scalp. You may be S.O.S.

The reason that a lot of companies have switched to hair follicle testing is because urine testing is slowly becoming obsoulete. You can tamper with urine easier than a hair test.

I have never had a hair test, but I hear that it can be traced upwards of 6 months after you smoke, but that could be just an urban legend.
