I have an interview for AstraZeneca, the pharmaceutical company as a summer intern chemist. Before I get told how I shouldn't do drugs, I use marijuana very occasionally, maybe once a month, I am a Harvard student that has been doing it for a while with a normal life and a bunch of accomplishments. Anyway, they do hair testing, and I have an interview on Tuesday. Chances are will they tell me I need to get a drug test right away, or do you think it would take a few weeks to tell me I'm hired and need a drug test? Even better will they wait till the summer draws closer? If before the test I cut my ahir to like, half an inch, should I be ok if I hadn't smoked in the past month? Do the THC traces like have a half-life, or does it grow out as the hair grows out? So theoretically if I shave my head completely now until the test, and don't smoke in the meanwhile, should I pass?

The will take hair from where ever they can find it. YOu may have to shave your entire body. But then it's a dead give away that you are hiding something. Good luck, but if you want to test negative, the only way is to not do it in the first place.
