How can I prove a false positive from lorazepam on a drug hair test?

I take Lorazepam. Found out today my hair drug testing results came back positive stating my results found Methamphetamine 55.5 cg/10mg (which I'm clueless to this number) What the heck has caused this kind of false info and where is info backing up the impacts Lorazepam has had on my test. I was floored considering I don't use anything but my prescribed meds along with all my other herbal daily meds.

lorazepam is a Benzodiazepine not a methamphetamine. As to why you tested positive for the latter i don't know. Maybe something in your herbal meds are causing this positive result. You need to talk to your doctor and give him a complete list of all meds, otc, prescription, and herbal. If he can't give you any answers talk to your pharmactist, they would probably know could be causing the problem.

Good luck

Talk to your doctor!!!! Get him to give your employer a call or have him give them written information on your medication and possible interference with drug tests. This should clear it up.

psuedoephedrine and ephedrine can cause false positives. You can get that in cough syrups. Also hair ananlysis can go back years depending on how long your hair is and what segment they test. What you should do is get the generic/chemical name of your drug (not the brand name) and start searching for keywords such as lorazepam methamphetamine false positive. Do that for every medication you have taken in past few months or year or so.

Lorazepam is very addictive drug and very hard to come off of. Can take a year or more to wean someone off lorazepam. If you have a valid prescription for lorazepam you may wanna provide that to the person who is in charge of your drug testing. They may accuse you of taking lorazepam without script.

Even inhalors for asthma can cause false positives.
