ok i applied for a job and went to interview today well everything went well then they said lets do ur drug test so i expexted to go in a cup but they did a hair test. i dont usually smoke pot but i did once with my mom onmy birthday like 3 months and 1 day ago so do u think that it will have an affect on them hiring me? please help i am so worried

As long as you've had the hair. I know a person who smoked a few joints when she and her husband were on vacation...8 months prior to her applying at a job for B of A. She tested positive and wasn't hired. Those sort of tests aren't really fair.

You may want to explain to them that you were in a situation 3 months ago where the smoke could not be avoided (imply second smoke) and you never have before and never will again engage in such activities. Yikes! They say it can go back about 90 days. It's not a precise science... it's not like, on day 91, it all disappears. It just means that you may or may not get caught out. Sorry I can't give you better news, but hair tests are pretty rigorous. They have to be, for what companies pay for them!
