I recently got picked for a bad *** job. One problem though...I smoked weed back in September, probably around the end of the month. I also took some of my prescription lorcet (hydrocodone) that I was prescribed in april for wisdom teeth removal. I did not finish the script and I had a serious car accident in october in which i did not go to the ER because i'm tired of these medical bills. plus it was a special day and i didnt want to spend it in the hospital. well i knew this job was coming soon, but not this soon. the last time i smoked weed was probably around the end of september. then the last time i took lorcet was oct. 19. i have been clean since that day. i cut my hair after thanksgiving and now its about 1/2 inch long. i need like 1.5 inch for the test or so. the test is in the middle of january. will i be able to pass the hair test clean since i cut off my "dirty" hair? please help me this is for an important career. no bullshit answers neither, i quit ok!

Well, the hair test claims "up to 90 days" depending upon how long the hair sample is, so with really short hair, you should be OK on the pot, but most likely not on the opiod (lorcet). You may have to be honest with them about the prescription medicine. If you can prove the car accident and that the lorcet was prescribed to you (albeit months prior), they may let that slide. They are mostly looking for illegal drugs like pot and cocaine and such. When you go in they'll make you fill out papers asking you if you ate poppy seeds and such. Here's where you put that you took a prescription painkiller for a car accident in October. And leave it at that. Most likely it won't be an issue. Like I said, they're really looking for the illegal stuff.

They shouldn't hold the pain pills against you. It's your legitimate prescription and you can prove it. Just act matter-of-fact about having some left over from April. They'll be looking for dishonesty. Don't give it to them. Don't worry so much, that'll make them suspicious. Report It

I think you should be fine man. Continue to work out, sweat, and drink lots of liquids. Cranberry juice is good, along with tons of water. But you would probably pass it now, but if you are worried follow the above steps.

Should be clean on the pot. Why don't you tell them about the lorcet? That's sounds legit to me.

No matter how much hair you cut, weed stays in your hair folicles for 3 months...so if you cut it, it will just grow back. But if it was weed at the end of Sept. you should be fine. The other drugs are understandable. If they come up, just give them the reason why you took them..that's it. You'll be fine buddy, trust me...

you should be fine as it goes from root to tip and if you cut your hair once the root will be the only thing for you to worry about, I would cut it one more time to be sure but as far as I've known perscription drug levels dont need to be non-existant only low levels.

I say cut it once more and you'll be smooth sailing, unless however they give you a lie detector test also....if it's the FBI a lie detector test is also given...this is why i'm not a secretary for the FBI....hair no problem, a lie detector test from FBI Agents....oh hell no! lol

Drugs can show in the hair for up to 90 days; I don't think cutting hair off helps much. Best of luck with your job. : )

The 1.5 inch test usually covers about 90 days, but there is some variation in the rate of hair growth.

i hear that that little bit of weed could be considered as something in your system for years from smoking at a young age,it's not like you're doing anything hard like meth etc.

You're not going to want to hear this, but for the hair test, depending on the amount of hair that the company takes, it閳ユ獨 possible that marijuana could be detected up to three years after the last time that you smoke.

Well, marijuana only stays in the body for 10 days....the medicine only stays for a couple hours.

Hair should be ok, but I would get some swimmers shampoo that strips your hair of deposits. There is special detox shampoo as well. it should be fine since you cut the bad stuff off. Good luck!
