They usually use hair from the eyebrow or eyelash for this kind of thing. You may be SOL. There are things that cause false positives though.

Your probably busted. Your hairs length is not the case, plus who said they have to take it from your head? What they need is a hair from anywhere on your body that has a tag or a papilla. If it was a UA, depending on your fat content you would probably be okay, with the hair test, it is probably still there.
Advice, don't sweat it, if it happens it happens. Son't do anything like try and bleach or magic shave your hair. That will just make it suspicious, and they could take your fingernails or cuticles. Also, don't smoke weed if you like your job.
