Will Aderall cause a false positive in a hair follicle drug test?

As a student, I would occassionally use adderall to help me study/stay awake. Now I know adderall containes amphetamines, would that cause a false positive in a hair drug test?

Will Aderall cause a false positive in a hair follicle drug test?

No, it will result in an accurate positive. Adderall is a pharmaceutical psychostimulant comprised of mixed amphetamine salts that is primarily used to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. It is a Schedule II controlled substance, meaning that it has been deemed to have a high potential for abuse and addiction despite genuine medical uses. Drug tests look for drugs of abuse, and amphetamines certainly are drugs of abuse. Unless you got it by prescription, you ARE abusing the drug.
